Frequently asked questions
What is Vijaya / medical cannabis?
Vijaya is the classical Ayurvedic name for Cannabis; in EndoCann's context it refers to AYUSH Vijaya formulations used within a medical framework. The active phytocannabinoids act on the endocannabinoid system — see the ECS primer.
What is the difference between CBD and THC?
THC is intoxicating and a CB1/CB2 partial agonist; CBD is non-intoxicating and acts through broader mechanisms. This drives formulation and tolerability choices — see CBD vs THC.
How do I dose it?
Start low and go slow, choosing a CBD:THC ratio to suit the indication and patient. The dosage guide covers the principles and the DoctorSuite generates product-specific plans.
What are the main side effects and interactions?
Common effects are dose-related and mostly THC-mediated (dizziness, sedation, dry mouth); watch CYP450 interactions (notably with CBD) and additive CNS depression. See side effects and drug interactions.
Who should I avoid treating?
Weigh benefit against risk in psychosis history, significant cardiovascular disease, hepatic impairment, substance-use disorder, and pregnancy/breastfeeding, and counsel on driving. Follow product labelling and local regulation.
Is it legal to prescribe in India?
Vijaya formulations are used within the AYUSH framework by, or on the advice of, registered practitioners; the wider legal picture is nuanced. See medical cannabis in India and rely on current statutory guidance.
Where is the evidence?
The clinical evidence library collects source-linked research cards (with PMID/PMCID/DOI) across indications, with an oncology view.
